01 — The Vision

Every student deserves to walk into the school year equipped, encouraged, and ready to succeed.

School supplies, backpacks, and classroom materials put real strain on household budgets across Houston. The Waltrip School Supply Drive exists to bridge that gap — mobilizing local businesses, churches, nonprofits, athletes, and neighbors to meet practical needs while creating an unforgettable experience for students and families.

Located in the heart of Houston, Waltrip High School serves a diverse student population and continues to be one of the city’s rising public high schools.

02 — Event Experience

Not a handout.
A free shopping experience.

On July 18, families are invited to Waltrip High School to shop for the supplies that fit their needs — no pre-packed bags, no lines for a handout. Just dignity, choice, and a community showing up.

01

Walk In

Families check in and are welcomed by volunteers, community leaders, and special guests who are passionate about Houston students.

02

Shop Free

Students select backpacks, notebooks, calculators, and more in a shopping-style experience — picking exactly what they need for the year.

03

Connect

Throughout the day, families connect with community resources, local organizations, and partners invested in their success.
